Three Hail Marys Novena

The Three Hail Marys Novena is a devotion dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, where three Hail Marys are prayed daily with special intentions. This devotion is very popular and has become a beloved pious practice among many Catholics worldwide.
History of the Three Hail Marys Devotion
The Three Hail Marys devotion originated from a revelation received by St. Mechtilde of Hackeborn in the 13th century. In this apparition, the Blessed Virgin Mary promised that anyone who would recite three Hail Marys daily in honor of the three Persons of the Trinity who had bestowed privileges and graces upon her, would receive special assistance at the hour of death.
"Know, my child, that whoever honors me by reciting three Hail Marys daily, will receive my special assistance during life and particularly at the hour of death. They will not die without the sacraments of the Church." - Words of the Blessed Virgin to St. Mechtilde
Later, this devotion was popularized by St. Leonard of Port Maurice and St. Alphonsus Liguori in the 18th century. St. Alphonsus greatly emphasized the importance of this devotion and included it in his prayer books.
Three Hail Marys Novena Prayer
Sign of the CrossIn the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. AmenThe Apostles' CreedI believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. Our FatherOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. AmenAct of ContritionO my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You. I deserve to be punished for my sins, especially because I have been unfaithful to You who are all-loving and all-good to me. I hate all my sins, and I promise with the help of Your grace to amend my life and sin no more. O merciful God, forgive me, a sinner. AmenThree Hail Marys NovenaFirst Part: The Power of Our LadyMother Mary, Powerful Virgin, for you nothing is impossible, because of the power granted to you by the Almighty Lord. Both the glory of the Lord, my honor to you, and the salvation of my soul will increase if you would grant all these requests of mine. Therefore, if this request of mine is truly in accordance with the will of your Son, I earnestly ask, O Mother, please forward all these requests of mine to your Son, who will surely not refuse you. My great hope is based on the unlimited power that God the Father has granted to you. And to honor your great power, I pray together with St. Mechtildis to whom you revealed the goodness of the "Three Hail Marys" prayer, which is of great benefit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. However great my fault, I deeply regret having wounded the Sacred Heart of Jesus and your holy heart. You introduced yourself as the "Mother of repentant sinners" to St. Bridget, so please forgive all my lack of gratitude to you. Remember only the glory of your Son and the mercy and goodness of your heart that radiates by granting this request of mine through the intercession of your Son. O Mother, Virgin full of goodness and gentle and sweet, never has anyone come to you and asked for your help that you just let go. For your mercy and goodness, I hope very much, that I will be granted the Holy Spirit.
